What is Semaglutide?

A weight loss medication for those who are serious about losing a significant amount of weight in a short period of time.

We recommend Increasing your water intake daily due to increasing thirst and helps keep your bowels moving. The medication slows down gastric emptying so you will feel fuller faster. However, making an attempt to eat healthier and exercise will increase the rate of weight loss.

How is Semaglutide Taken

Semaglutide is injected once a week subcutaneously. It is recommended to be injected either in the belly or in the thigh. Alternating different injection sites every week.

Contraindication for Semaglutide

  • History of medullary thyroid cancer or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome

  • Breastfeeding, pregnancy, or planning to become pregnant

  • Current cancer treatment

  • Eating disorder

  • Active gallbladder disease

  • Substance abuse or dependency

  • Type I Diabetes

  • Bariatric surgery within the past 18 months

  • Pancreatitis within the past 6 months or a history of pancreatitis caused by taking a GLP-1
