What is Semaglutide?
A weight loss medication for those who are serious about losing a significant amount of weight in a short period of time.
Improves Metabolic Function
GLP-1s medications regulate blood sugar levels by increasing insulin and decreasing glucagon only when blood sugar levels are high. GLP-1s also improve whole-body energy metabolism by increasing insulin sensitivity of muscle cells and regulating fat cell development.
Regulates Digestion
GLP-1s slow how quickly food moves from the stomach to the intestines. This helps you feel full for longer by regulating sugar absorption in the intestine.
Reduces Inflammation
GLP-1 medications are clinically proven to reduce inflammation markers, leading to decreased inflammatory response and oxidative stress.
Semaglutide Dosing Schedule
The dosages are slowly titrated in increments every 4 week. Standard dosing is once weekly with the usual initiation dose being 0.25mg.
We recommend Increasing your water intake daily due to increasing thirst and helps keep your bowels moving. The medication slows down gastric emptying so you will feel fuller faster. However, making an attempt to eat healthier and exercise will increase the rate of weight loss.
How is Semaglutide Taken
Semaglutide is injected once a week subcutaneously. It is recommended to be injected either in the belly or in the thigh. Alternating different injection sites every week.
